Delete Releases

Deleting a Release Capsule is not recommended for the following reasons:

• Pipelines that use the Release Capsule will no longer work.

• Lineage Graphs for results generated using the deleted Capsule will no longer link to the release, resulting in broken lineage.

• Deleting a Release Capsule or Pipeline will delete ALL VERSIONS of that asset.

Deleting a release should generally only be done for cases where the release is not yet in use. Otherwise, it is preferable to release a new version, rather than completely deleting the old one.

To delete a Release Capsule or Pipeline:

1. Navigate to Admin Panel and click Release Management.

1. In the search bar, type the name of the release Capsule or Pipeline to be deleted.

   
2. To navigate to the Capsule, click View Capsule.

   
3. Copy the metadata ID from the Capsule.

   
4. Navigate back to the Admin Settings tab in the browser. Select Delete Capsule, and paste the metadata ID. To delete all the forks of the capsule, check Delete all forks of the release capsule.

   
5. Click Delete.
