# Email Integration

The configuration of the email service is only visible from the admin role.

To configure the email service:

1. Open the **Admin Panel.**
2. Click **Integrations.**\

3. Configure the **Email Configuration** section.
4. In **SMTP Server Address** enter the SMTP service provider.
5. In **SMTP Server Port** enter the port number.\
   In this example the mail server is gmail, the server address is smtp.gmail.com with the server port of 587.
6. Provide the **Username** which is the email address of the user associated with the mail that will be sent.
7. The password must be app generated and pasted into the **Password** placeholder.\
   This is required to solve a case of an account with two-steps-verification.
8. In the case of a google account follow the steps at:\
   <https://support.google.com/mail/answer/185833?hl=en>
9. For Code Ocean the app URL should be Code Ocean, for example:\
   <https://acmecorp-edge.code> ocean.com\
   The device should reflect the user's device.
10. Click **Submit** to update **Email Configuration** or **Reset** to clear the information
