# Deleting Released Capsules

Deleting a Released Capsule is not recommended. Pipelines that use the Released Capsule will no longer work. Also, the Lineage Graph for results generated using the Capsule will no longer link to the release. Deleting a Released Capsule will delete ALL VERSIONS of that capsule.This is generally only for cases where a released Capsule is not yet in use. 1. Navigate to **Admin Settings** and click **Delete Release Capsule**.\

2. In the search bar, type the name of the published capsule to delete.\\

3. To navigate to the capsule select **View Capsule.**\\

4. Copy the metadata ID from the capsule.\\

5. Navigate back to the Admin Settings tab in the browser. Select **Delete Capsule,** and paste the metadata ID. To delete all the forks of the capsule, check Delete all forks of the release capsule.\\

6. Click **Delete**.
