Authentication

To create an API token:

1. Sign in to Code Ocean

2. Click Account

3. Click Access Tokens

4. Click Generate New Token

5. Provide the Token Name

6. Select Scopes allows the selection of the required access. The Read or Write options for Capsules also applies to datasets.

7. Click Add Token

8. Click Copy Token & Create Secret to copy the token and be taken directly to the Custom Key creation modal.

9. Click Save Changes.

The token is only shown when it is created. You will not be able to access it again.

By adding the key, it will be easily accessible in a Capsule. See the Accessing a Secret in a Capsule page for more information.

To view an API Token:

1. Navigate to Account

2. Click Access Tokens A list of Access Tokens is shown

To delete an API Token:

1. Next to the token, click the garbage can

   
2. Click Delete.
